WHAT’S HAPPENING

ITC Michigan has proposed a new 345 kV high-voltage transmission line. One of the potential routes would run directly through the Meridian Parks area, impacting homes, neighborhoods, and natural spaces.

The final route has not yet been selected.

This early stage of the process is when community input can have the greatest impact.

This website serves as the central hub for confirmed information, updates, documents, and next steps related to our community’s response.

Why We Formed the Association

Residents and nearby property owners came together to form the Meridian Parks ITC Opposition Association so our community can speak with a clear, organized, and effective voice.

We formed the Association to:

  • Protect property values and neighborhood character

  • Address environmental and residential impacts

  • Participate meaningfully in the state’s route-selection process

  • Raise concerns early, when they are most likely to influence decisions

Organized, informed communities are far more effective than individuals acting alone.

How We’re Taking Action

To strengthen our position, the Association has:

  • Formed a voluntary neighborhood association with member voting rights

  • Established bylaws and financial oversight

  • Retained experienced legal counsel to represent the Association as a whole

  • Begun submitting formal arguments into the process at the earliest stages

Our goal is simple: remove the Meridian Parks route from consideration and protect our community.
