The Meridian Parks ITC Opposition Association was formed so our community can respond to the proposed transmission line route with a clear, organized, and effective voice.

By joining the Association, you become part of a collective effort to protect our homes, property values, and environment during the route selection process.

WHY JOIN?

The proposed route through the Meridian Parks area would impact more homes and properties than alternative routes. Acting early and in an organized way gives our community the best chance to influence the outcome.

Membership helps ensure that:
​

  • Our concerns are raised early, when decisions are still flexible

  • Environmental, residential, and property value impacts are formally documented

  • Our community is represented consistently and professionally

  • We are taken seriously as an organized group, not individual voices

WHAT YOUR MEMBERSHIP SUPPORTS

Membership contributions are used to fund a shared legal and expert challenge, including:

  • Retaining experienced legal counsel to represent the Association

  • Preparing and submitting formal arguments to ITC and the state

  • Addressing environmental, residential, and property value impacts

  • Engaging expert review if the process advances further

 
All funds are managed by the Association and governed by established bylaws.

COST & COMMITMENT

  • The estimated cost for the initial phase of the challenge is $15,000–$20,000, shared across members

  • Contributions are pooled into a dedicated challenge fund

  • Contributions become non-refundable once the funding threshold is reached

  • Additional contributions may be assessed only if needed and voted on per the bylaws

 
Participation is voluntary, and transparency is a core principle of the Association.

WHO CAN JOIN?

  • Homeowners directly impacted by the proposed route

  • Nearby property owners whose property values may be affected

  • Community members who support protecting the Meridian Parks area

 
Each member has one vote, regardless of the number of properties owned.
